Lithuania anounces the start of commercial WiMAX network

On Tuesday, Lithuanian radio and television centre anounced the start of their mobile WiMAX 4G service. Company claims to be one of the first in the European Union to start such kind of service.
The company say the service will have competetive price (€30/month for unlimited data) and bandwith (10MB/s) compared with other local broadband services (basicaly mobile 3G operators and monopolist DSL/FTTH provider 'TEO'). The price of USB modem is €80.
So far the service is only working in capital Vilnius, with plans to expand network towards few other towns in upcoming months.
The company uses 3.5GHz spectrum and partners with Samsung for equipment.

Omnitel LT anounces plans and prices for the iPhone 3G

Today, Omnitel LT (part of TeliaSonera network) introduced plans and prices for iPhone 3G.
The prices, unsurprisingly, sky high. Data plans - from 100MB to 1000MB per month.

The plans are:

The company also offers custom plans for businesses. The prices include standard business plan + 29€/month fee for 1000MB data. iPhones price for these plans 60€/141€ for 8Gb/16Gb respectively.

However one phone reseller (www.mobili.lt) announced they are going to sell iPhone 3G's 'unlocked'.

The only Premium Reseller in Lithuania 'AVAD Baltic' haven't announced anything about iPhone 3G yet.

This trick is extremely simple and costs nothing.

When charging your iPhone use your computers USB port to do it. I have noticed it from the start of using my iPhone.

Of course it would charge slower, but it lasts at least 30% to 50% more.

The theory behind this is simple - when charging with 110v/220v wall adapter you

would get a bigger charge current (first pic: 1000mA). When I charge it with cheap Hama iPod car adapter, it would charge a little faster, because of charge current is bigger (second pic: 750mA). Finally, when you charge with your computers USB port it would charge a lot slower, because of the lowest current (last pic: 500mA).

You can check your charging current with program called Hardware Info, or a simplier program Battery Info. Both found on Installer.

Virginize your 1.0.2 iPhone

This guide will instruct you how to virginize your 1.0.2 after you applied AnySim/iUnlocker. After this you can safely install 1.1.1.
Start by downloading this: Virginiser.tar.gz.
1. Install SSH (Via INdependence or in Installer>System "BSD Subsystem" and then "OpenSSH"). By default your password will be "dottie"
2. If you are using Mac start terminal. Type in

scp -r Virginiser.tar.gz root@192.168.1.100:/usr/bin

Wheres 192.168.1.100 is your IP address. You can view it on your iPhone in Settings>WiFi. If you are using Windows use WinSCP to upload it.
3. Still in terminal, type:

ssh root@192.168.1.100

Again, 192.168.1.100 is your IP address. On Windows use PuTTY for this.
4. Now you have connected to your iPhone via SSH. Type:

cd /usr/bin
tar -xzvf Virginiser.tar.gz
launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
cd Virginiser
chmod 0755 *
./virginise.sh
launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist

5. Now just backup your seczone.backup using Fugu/WinSCP. Navigate to "/usr/bin/Virginise", and download seczone.backup.
